Ricard, the French pastis brand, is the subject of another develpment collaboration between Total Immersion and C4M.
For the launch of their all-new bottle shape, the brief involved creating a simple, fun app in order to best present their product using the innovative software available today. The resulting app features facebook integration, pre-loaded multimedia content and the augmented reality component.
In principle, pointing the rear-facing camera at any Ricard logo and the user sees a 3D view of the new bottle morph into view on the screen. By moving the handset around, while keeping the logo in the viewfinder, the bottle is viewed from all angles.
With augmented reality still in it's infancy on movile devices, this stable plug-in represents a step forward, and also the first time we have seen this kind of tech on Android devices. Development was fully complete in 10 days.
