Dragibus Jouez! is the iPhone and Android game in support of "Dragibus" for global confectionary brand Haribo. It launched along with TV media, Poster campaign and experiential installations.
C4M was contacted by Publicis and Haribo to deliver the concept thay had developed. C4M suggested including a bespoke gameplay element, instead of simply re-using the televisual content, resulting in a unique but integral facet of the overall campaign.
Technically the team faced a number of challenges: The varying processing and hardware shortcomings of handsets, plus the need to create a lighter OpenGL viewer to replace a larger 3D environment which would increase install and start-up times.
Dragibus Jouez! was finally released, featuring streaming camera feed, a host of colourful 3D sweeties, catchy gameplay, two gameplay modes and a trip to Florida for the lucky winner of the online leaderboards!
Add to the mix a facebook app (by Total Immersion, implemented by C4M) and promo girls showcasing the mobile game in the streets of France's major towns, and you can see why this comprehensive campaign put the apps in the top 10 of the app stores shortly after launch.
