The French football club, "Les Girondins de Bordeaux" have their own iPhone app at last! Supporters now have live club news, and the latest on players and transfers, thanks to push notifications.

This version went straight to the top of the free apps chart, thanks to the club's popularity, and continues to top apps in the sports category. With an iPad version coming up, the iPhone upgrade featuring geolocalisation services, streaming audio and video... the competition to be top club of the apps has officially kicked-off. C4M looks like the front-running producer, with two top clubs under their belt: Bordeaux... and OM.
